LRB’s Terms and Conditions:
These Terms & Conditions apply to all work undertaken by LRB Electrical & Renewables. By accepting our quotation, proceeding with an installation, or engaging our services, the client agrees to be bound by the following terms.
Ownership of Goods
Title to any goods supplied remains with LRB Electrical & Renewables until full payment is received in cleared funds. If the goods become part of a system or structure, we retain the right to recover them in the event of non-payment.
Manufacturer Guarantees
We pass on any valid manufacturer warranties for products supplied. It is the customer’s responsibility to use and maintain all goods in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. We do not provide separate product warranties beyond this.
Workmanship Guarantee
All work will be completed to meet the requirements of BS 7671, MCS standards, and any other applicable British or industry regulations. We provide a 12-month workmanship guarantee covering installation faults caused directly by poor workmanship. This guarantee does not cover:
Damage caused by misuse, neglect, or third-party intervention faults in appliances, products, or systems not installed by us
Alterations to the installation by others without our written approval any unauthorised tampering will void the workmanship guarantee.
Solar PV & Battery Storage Installations For MCS-certified systems:
You will receive MCS and HIES (or equivalent) certification upon completion and final payment
We will notify the Distribution Network Operator (DNO) as required, and you will be provided with the relevant confirmation
Export metering or Smart Export Guarantee (SEG) eligibility remains the responsibility of the customer to arrange with their energy supplier
We will advise where appropriate, but do not act as intermediary between you and your supplier
In some cases, DNO approval or other permissions may delay installation timelines. We will keep you informed of any such issues.
Working Hours
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, all work will be carried out between 9:00am and 5:00pm, Monday to Friday.
Additional Works
Should any unforeseen issues or changes arise during installation, these will be discussed and priced separately before proceeding.
Site Access and Safety
The client agrees to provide safe, uninterrupted access to the property. No persons under 18 should be left unsupervised while work is being undertaken. Pets and children must be kept away from the work area.
Waste and Equipment Removal
Standard waste disposal is included unless specified otherwise. In cases of excess waste (e.g. packaging, redundant equipment, or roof debris), skip hire or collection may be itemised and charged separately. We will not be held liable for damage caused by third-party waste collection services.
Documentation & Certification
All relevant certification (e.g. electrical, MCS, building control) will be provided digitally upon completion and settlement of your account.
Site Conditions and Limitations
It is the client's responsibility to ensure:
All necessary permissions and access are granted The working environment is clear and safe
Any known structural or electrical issues are disclosed before work begins
We are not liable for delays or additional costs caused by obstacles outside our control, such as hidden defects, third-party delays, or inaccessible areas.
Making Good
Unless explicitly included in the quotation, decorative making good (e.g. plaster, paint, render, or tiling) is not included. We will always leave installations tidy and functional but cosmetic repairs may be the responsibility of the client unless agreed in advance.
Deposits
A deposit may be required prior to scheduling works. This will be deducted from the final invoice. Work will not commence until the deposit has been received.

Payment Terms
Invoices are due immediately upon receipt unless otherwise agreed in writing. We reserve the right to charge:
Statutory interest (currently 8% above Bank of England base rate)
Reasonable debt recovery costs under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998
Performance Estimates and Limitations
We will provide a performance estimate based on SAP 10 irradiance data and typical system losses as required by MCS. This is an estimate only and actual system output may vary due to:
Weather conditions
Shading from trees, chimneys, or future developments of dust, debris, or soiling of panels.
Electrical appliance usage patterns
We cannot guarantee specific energy savings or financial returns.
Roof and Structural Assumptions
We assume your roof is structurally sound and suitable for a solar installation unless a survey reveals otherwise. We are not responsible for pre-existing structural issues. If additional strengthening or repairs are required, these may be quoted separately and must be completed before installation proceeds.
Scaffold and Access Requirements
Where scaffold or access equipment is required, it will be included in your quote. You must ensure safe, clear access to the property.
Electrical Integration and Limitations
We will integrate the solar system and/or battery into your existing consumer unit where possible.
If upgrades or rewiring are needed (e.g. due to outdated consumer units, lack of capacity, or earthing issues), these may incur additional charges.
LRB Electrical & Renewables reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time. Updated versions will be made available upon request and will apply to future work or quotations.
